Building on the success of our Mindful Mums Programme, we are embarking on an expansion to deliver additional support to help prevent pregnant and new mums from developing mental health problems.

We are seeking a Project Worker to assist in the development, delivery and evaluation of a programme of volunteer-led support for mums during the perinatal period (pregnancy to 1 year). This programme of activities will include our existing Mindful Mums sessions as well as additional follow-up support, specialist groups and a befriending service.

As a Mindful Mums Project Worker you will be involved in all aspects of the project, including recruiting and training volunteer mums who have lived through their own perinatal mental health problems. You will work collaboratively to develop a programme of activities and support volunteers to deliver this to new and expectant mums across the Bromley borough.

You will be an effective communicator with experience of working within community based or voluntary services. Your exceptional organisation skills will support the successful delivery of the project and ensure that it is effectively evaluated.

This role will involve travel across the Bromley borough.

This role would ideally suit a mum who has successfully managed her own perinatal mental health problems.
