Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind’s award-winning Mindful Mums service has delivered support to over 500 women within its first two years. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic Project Coordinator to manage the project across the Bromley and Lewisham boroughs for a period of maternity cover.

Delivered through funding from the Bromley and Lewisham Clinical Commissioning Groups, the Mindful Mums Programme aims to prevent pregnant and new mums from developing mental health problems.

The Project Coordinator (maternity cover) will lead a team of 3 staff and 50 volunteers to deliver Mindful Mums peer support services to new and pregnant mums, including wellbeing groups, specialist groups and one-to-one befriending.

You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the project, including recruiting, training and supporting volunteer mums who have lived through their own perinatal mental health problems.

You will ensure the project outcomes are consistently achieved, effectively evaluated and marketed to appropriate audiences.

The ability to communicate with a range of people and an understanding of developing emotional resilience in perinatal women is essential.

This role would ideally suit a mum who has successfully managed her own perinatal mental health problems.

Staff benefits include:

  • a matched contribution pension scheme up to 5%
  • 25 days’ holiday (pro-rata, rising with service)
  • quality supervision and training opportunities.

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service check. Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind is committed to equality of opportunity and welcomes applications from candidates with personal experience of mental health needs.
