Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind is a highly regarded, innovative local Charity working alongside people with mental health problems and dementia to improve their quality of life. With an annual turnover of more than £3m, over 120 staff and 200 volunteers, we are one of the largest charities in the Mind network.
Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind provides Peer Support (group activities and therapeutic groups) run by Peer Support Volunteers for individuals in the Royal Borough of Greenwich with either a mental health diagnosis or who are impacted by mental health issues.
Bromley, Lewisham and Greenwich Mind run drop-in sessions at our premises in Greenwich on a Monday from 1pm until 3pm, and Thursday from 1pm until 4pm. Each drop-in session is followed by a de-briefing meeting with volunteers to discuss issues and observations arising from the session.
We are seeking Drop-in Volunteers to assist with the running of the drop-in service. Volunteers encourage social interaction with clients, and ensure a safe and welcoming environment, as well as assisting other volunteers and staff with social activities and general duties associated with the drop-in service.
You will receive support in your role from a dedicated service manager who will offer guidance and training as needed to help you in the role.
Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check
