Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind (BLG Mind) is a highly regarded, innovative local Charity working alongside people with mental health problems and dementia to improve their quality of life. With an annual turnover of £4m, over 150 staff and 240 volunteers, we are one of the largest charities in the Mind network.

MindCare Dementia Support is part of BLG Mind and provides dementia support in the London boroughs of Lewisham and Bromley.  Our new service Lewisham Dementia Support Hub is a partnership of MindCare, Sydenham Garden, Carers Lewisham and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. The Hub provides advice and information for individuals living with dementia and for their carers.

Our Dementia Advisors are the heart of the service, providing person-centred advice, information and support, aiming to help people live well with dementia. We are looking for a part time Dementia Advisor to join our friendly and motivated team. You will have a passion for supporting people to get the most out of life. You must be willing to visit people in their homes in order to undertake comprehensive assessments. The Advisor role includes running groups and activities for people with dementia.

You will provide information, advice, signposting and community bridge building to help people access community resources. With experience of working in health or social care, including in community based services, you will have good communication skills with assessment and support planning skills.

Successful applicants will be expected to undergo an Enhanced Level Disclosure and Barring Service check
