Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind is a highly regarded, innovative local charity working alongside people with mental health problems and dementia to improve their quality of life. With an annual turnover of more than £3m, over 100 staff and 150 volunteers, we are one of the largest charities in the Mind network.
The Bromley Dementia Support Hub is an exciting service delivered by a consortium of local providers working in partnership:
- MindCare Dementia Support (part of Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind)
- Age UK Bromley & Greenwich
- Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust.
The Bromley Dementia Support Hub provides comprehensive person-centred support to people with dementia and their carers, alongside training, raising awareness and community development to improve the experience of people with dementia.
The role of Dementia Carers Support Adviser provides post diagnosis support to people caring for someone with dementia in the London Borough of Bromley. The post-holder will assist with carers’ courses, workshops and groups, maximising carers’ wellbeing and quality of life to enable carers to build resilience and become better equipped to deal with the challenge of caring for someone with dementia.
