At Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind, we are very fortunate and grateful to have over 150 passionate and committed volunteers helping us to improve the quality of life for local people living with mental health problems or dementia.
Delivering support groups, admin and committee functions, training and fundraising events are just a few of the roles volunteers help us with.
On Tuesday 5th June 2018, Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind held a special thank you event especially for our volunteers at the Whitehorse Pub in Beckenham which was attended by 42 volunteers. This event was part of Volunteer Week 2018 (1st – 7th June).
Volunteers had the opportunity to share stories and experiences with other people volunteering across services in three London boroughs. Attendees were also personally thanked and awarded certificates in recognition of their efforts by Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind Chief Executive, Ben Taylor.
Head of Services at Bromley, Lewisham & Greenwich Mind, Dominic Parkinson said, “This is an important event to recognise volunteer contributions and allow us to say thank you to our volunteers on behalf of the organisation and the people volunteers support.”
