Help us bust myths around “Blue Monday”, fundraise and start positive conversations about mental health and wellbeing, in Bromley borough.
In January, myths around the third Monday in the month being the most depressing day of the year start circulating.
At Bromley & Lewisham Mind, we want to remind people that depression and other mental health problems can be serious conditions and are not one day events.
January can be challenging for many people due to financial strains and weather but there is no credible evidence to say that one day in particular, such as the mythical “Blue Monday”, is the most depressing.
Mental health problems affect people in different ways, from low to serious impact. We all have mental health and need to look after our wellbeing.
This is why Bromley & Lewisham Mind is starting ‘Beyond Blue Monday’ Coffee Mornings.
Volunteers will be running Coffee Mornings to start conversations about mental health, wellbeing, life, some general chatter and fundraise for Bromley & Lewisham Mind.
