BLG Mind Temporary Service Offer in response to the impact of coronavirus and associated restrictions
In the last few weeks, so much has changed and BLG Mind are doing our best to respond to the needs of our service users across both mental health and dementia services.
We have been offering lots of support and advice by telephone and if you feel you would like to speak to someone please see below for the telephone number to call.
In addition to telephone and email support, some services have now started to offer face-to-face services via video link and other technology. These details are also listed below.

Dementia Carers Support
These services are available to carers of people with dementia, offering coping strategies and advice.

Mental Wellbeing, Emotional & Social Support
- help people manage their mental health and wellbeing during the outbreak by offering a listening ear, support and advice on coping strategies

Mindline opening times: Monday to Friday: 10.30am -4.30pm & Tuesday to Friday evenings from 6.00pm-9.00pm. Since most of our counsellors are working remotely, please leave your details including your phone number and email address on the answerphone and our counsellors will call you back. We have counsellors that speak English, French, Polish, Punjabi and Hindu so please make it clear what your needs are.
Crisis and longer-term counselling, including culturally specific counselling for people from Asian, African, African-Caribbean and Eastern European backgrounds.

Offering support to parents who are expecting a baby or are new to parenthood. This includes facilitated wellbeing and peer support sessions delivered online.

Bromley Recovery College
We are introducing some new and potentially powerful opportunities to support each other in maintaining our mental and physical health. Although these will take time to develop, the college team are working hard to bring these on line as soon as possible.

Lewisham Community Wellbeing
Supporting adults in Lewisham to recover from mental ill health and maintain wellbeing.
1:1 phone support being provided, including advice and guidance.

Help for people with mental health problems who are struggling to retain their jobs or are looking to return to work.
The IPS Employment service offers support in both Bromley and Greenwich. If clients are currently accessing IPS Employment support and in work, and worrying about retaining their job, they should speak to the Employment Specialist currently supporting them. However, if they are new, looking for paid work and currently accessing support from Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust, they should speak with their Care Coordinator to refer them to the IPS Employment Specialist.
In Bromley, we can also offer employment support to anyone with mental health problems concerned about keeping their job through the Recovery Works service.

Connecting Communities Alliance offers social support for residents of Greenwich. Services include advice, guidance and signposting in areas such as benefits, housing and accessing other services within the borough.
